This image was inspired by that random piece of prose I wrote one day. I haven't much idea where the inspiration came for the prose, but the image came out awesomely, I think.
The woman in the image is the SAME PERSON on both sides. Right being her "angelic" form and left being her "demonic" form.
The funky little cloud things were inspired by FFX's pyreflies, and I guess they would be the same concept in the idea of the story. Afterall, Tenaki is related to life and death. I'm actually considering doing something further with the idea... but I know how my ideas usually go.
We named her Tenaki. (Tenshi-Aki / angel-demon) (That is, named her. )
I worked several hours and days on this. No less than about 50 hours was put into this, possibly up to about 75. It took a long time to do the line art, then several layers of color in pencil and then more layers of blending. The wings themselves took about 4 hours for EACH. It was a very long process, a fun project...and I am VERY happy with it. This is not the whole image, but very little is cropped off the ends. The corners on the image are a little bent from work wear, but nothing severe, just little creases on the color.
This was done on 11X14 poster paper with Crayola colored pencils and mechanical 0.7 lead pencil.
Wow, that's pretty, acctualy REALY good!
i like the wings, and the overall shape of the girl's
body, especially the eyes.
Unfortunately, and the only thing wrong is that you write too much; too logicaly.
which is fine with meh,
BUT
i'm pointing it out NICELY, MIND YOU, that it might be a tad 2 much 4 other peoples...Sorry if i made you angry...i didn't mean to...*saddend*

Hm. I write so much because I’m a writer by nature. My writing drives my artwork, therefore, it's necessary for me to explain my work by default of my personality. Most especially this one, since I spent a good 75 hours of my LIFE on this piece. Can 75 hours of your life go by and you not have a few paragraphs to say about it? I don't think so.
I really don't care if it's too much for some. Then they don't have to read it; but they shouldn't expect me to reply nicely if they ask stupid questions answered in the description, or make incorrect assumptions because they couldn’t bother to take a few minutes to read. It's there for those like me, who enjoy knowing what the artist was thinking and what they have to say about a piece.
I’m not necessarily angry for the comment, I understand your point of view. I’m just backing up mine as well. My artwork comes from my heart and from my heart, there are a lot of things to express. Thank you though, for the comment. I’m glad you liked the picture otherwise.
Anyway, i like that you write so much. it gives me a good description, and i like to read other opinions, therefore i have no problem wutsoever with all of ur writing.
And i agree with you; if they ask stupid questions, yell at 'em. plus, people shouldn't make many assumptions, and i think if someone makes a lot of assumptions, they must be a half-wit, 'cause all they would have to do is read the print. DUH!! If they read the print, they wouldn't have to embarrass themselves.
Bye!!

This is amazing. The folds, the wings/feathers, the coloring and shading... Your time was well spent on this and the work you put into it definitely shows.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
